Grants up to $750 each awarded to MPS teachers to fund creative classroom projects to enrich student learning. 53 grants awarded in 2006-07. A grant totaling $10,000 from the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, Inc. - TRIFECTA Foundation Fund provided support for the Teacher EXCEL Grants.

Hispanic Club of Milwaukee Scholarships
The Hispanic Club of Milwaukee provided funding for six $500 college scholarships designated for three Pulaski High School graduating seniors and three South Division High School graduating seniors. Specific eligibility criteria was established by the Hispanic Club of Milwaukee.

Grant awarded to the MPS School to Work Transition program to assist students in the Community Assistance and Training Program with their direct needs such as work clothes, supplies and other necessary items that will help them make a successful transition from school to employment. Funding provided through a number of individual donars who are graduates of MPS and who call themselves the Banter Association.

Funding was made possible through restricted gifts from individuals and private-sector organizations, including a $500 grant from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation and $840 from the Starbucks Make Your Mark Volunteer Program, led by Teresa Jackson, Volunteer for Elm Creative Arts School.
